I think it was Jeter who described Sheppard’s rich baritone as “the voice of God,” or something like that. In any event, it’s a true bummer (but oddly appropriate, given that they’re shitcanning a bunch of the other old Yankee Stadium traditions) that he’ll never be heard in the new joint.
