Wow, I kinda forgot about FReedy FRiday yesterday. In my defense, an assignment was sprung on me late and I wasn’t about to delay steak/beer/ping-pong night with the idjit crew to fart out a few thoughts on The Man and his music.

Besides, I’m mildly upset with Freedy about now: He hasn’t yet responded to my attempt at befriending him via Facebook. This is a very, very big deal, you know, as I’ve only friended one other person in my illustrious social-networking history. Now I feel like a dick for the requests I’ve ignored and for un-de-befriending those individuals who overshare, underthink and/or broadcast their emotional turbulence (“Zadie is sad for people who cannot forgive” - boo f’in hoo, right?).

Where was I? Oh: the head aches and I’m mad at Freedy. For today’s FReedy FRiday SatuFRday volley, then, here’s the single most unlistenable song in his catalog - Happy Birthday, from his The Way I Were compilation of early demos and whatnot. Buy it here. Better yet, don’t.
