My Griffey memory: Sitting in the Yankee Stadium bleachers on a random schoolnight, gaping in awe as the then 19-year-old smacked two homers way the hell over my head. I remember thinking, “He appears to be proficient at baseball-related activities.”
I have no idea whether or not Ken Griffey Jr. was steroid-free. I’m not sure it matters. Great player, great career.
