because you asked

16-team mixed league, head-to-head roto. Offense and pitching weighted equally. 25-man roster, with 17 daily starters (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, UTIL, UTIL, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, RP). Points awarded for run-creation (hitters) and run-prevention (pitchers), so no obvious categories like wins or saves. OBP is big. Doing stupid crap, like stealing bases at a 35% clip, costs you points.

Each team was allowed to protect three players drafted after the 10th round last year; my three were Sandoval, Hanson and N. Johnson. I was up 11th in a snake-type draft.

In order: Mauer, Verlander (worried about overuse in ‘09), Cano, Jeter (I know, I know), Victorino, Kubel (probably too early), B. Anderson, Hawpe, Matusz (love him - he’s like Cole Hamels, minus the preening), H. Bell, De La Rosa (control is the concern), Latos, R. Soriano, Frasor, Encarnacion (I blew 1B by waiting too long - so Sandoval goes there and Encarn gets the weak nod at third), Thornton, E. Cabrera, Gardner, I. Kennedy, Iannetta, Raburn, S. Smith. So yeah, I have to trade for a hitter or two.
