Fox does many things in its baseball coverage that I don’t quite understand, like garnish its replays with swish! noises and employ commentators incapable of appreciating players who don’t get their uniforms dirty via unnecessary slides and dives. But I’d have thought that superfluous usage of umlauts was beyond even them.
