For about 14 years now, I’ve been irritating friend and colleague alike with my insistence that they must enjoy Freedy Johnston’s music as much as I do. I’ve made mixes, sent MP3s, dragged people to concerts, etc. It hasn’t worked. The guy hasn’t sold many records. He may or may not have a day job.
I refuse to take this lying down. So, being stubborn and truly believing that the guy is one of the great unappreciated songwriters of our era, I’ve decided to anoint myself Freedy’s publicist. This is “The Lucky One,” which features one of the easiest melodies you’ll ever hear.
We’ll call this feature Freedy Fridays, because “Freedy” and “Friday” start with the same two letters. Buy this song here.
That is all.
