Wow, Tumblr erases posts really efficiently.
Second try: fun show in Fort Lauderdale the other night. Lotsa war horses (The Promised Land to open, Badlands, Candy’s Room, Growin’ Up, The Rising, Out in the Street and Prove It All Night, plus an encore of Thunder Road/Rosalita/Born to Run/Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out/American Land/Kitty’s Back). It was the right set for this particular crowd, which included a bunch of older dudes with their shirts tucked way the hell in. Mom and dad would’ve enjoyed this set… and then each would have spent the next two weeks attempting to convince me that he or she is the bigger Springsteen fan than the other.
We enjoyed a way-way-way-late dinner at Hooters. I enjoyed my boneless chicken wings and the wait staff’s attire. It was an irony- and sarcasm-free evening.
