That said, letting him go was the right call. Sentiment has no place in today’s baseball.
WatchI saw him do this bit at one of the Aimee Mann holiday concerts a few years back. It confused the crowd so profoundly - most people were too far back to notice that “Billy Smith” was Armisen in costume, which meant only a few people got the joke - that I didn’t think we’d see it again. The bit still kills me, though it’s not as much fun without the pregnant silences....
